The CCS TSI Amendment has been published in the EU Official Journal (amendment to the Technical Specification for Interoperability relating to the Control-Command and Signalling subsystems).

In the infographic you will find UNISIG/UNIFE’s assessment of this amendment, highlighting its key implications for the sector.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) and the European Commission EU Transport for their tireless efforts and steadfast commitment to strengthening the ERTMS® legal framework.

We also reaffirm our full support for ERA’s role as a facilitator in ensuring the effective implementation of these measures. TSIs are, and should remain, fully under ERA’s responsibility to ensure consistency, regulatory compliance, and clear governance across the European rail system.

CCS is a highly complex topic to be discussed at the RISC level. Any changes prior to the RISC vote must be coordinated with ERA and fully aligned with the sector’s technical levels to avoid technical and operational incompatibilities.
